Many of our volunteers have helped us to obtain donations of food, supplies, gifts, or services that benefit our families. We encourage you to help us in this respect. Please speak to the Resident Director if you have any questions.

Desired Volunteer Position

Please indicate the type of position for which you would like to volunteer:

Shift Volunteer. Shift Volunteers work 4-hour shifts, either daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly. They are on duty to support the Resident Director, Assistant Managers or volunteer Relief Managers. Shift Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, although exceptions may be made.

Relief Manager. The Relief Manager takes over the operations of the House when the Resident Director or Assistant Manager is off duty. They commit to 4- to 5-hour shifts or 24-hour weekend or holiday coverage. Some Relief Managers work one weekend a month, and others work every other month or every third month, whenever they are available. Relief Managers doing overnight shifts are given an efficiency apartment to sleep in, and they are welcome to bring their spouse and family. Relief Managers must be at least 21 years of age.
